Photo of the Week: Relief for Somali Refugees
ShelterBox is leading an international effort to deliver much-needed aid to Somali refugees who have poured into Kenya in search of food, water and safety from armed conflict at home.
More than 4,500 ShelterBoxes have already been delivered to the Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya where an estimated 400,000 Somalis have gathered. ShelterBox teams are working closely with a variety of other relief agencies in Dadaab to set up ShelterBox tents and ensure that there are adequate water and sanitation facilities.
In this week's photo, ShelterBox Response Team Member Lizzy Treglown (UK) speaks with the mother of a large family after helping her set up her tent. "She was so happy and proud of her new home," Lizzy said.
